An Evening with Neuroscience

An Evening with Neuroscience is the annual event hosted by undergraduate neuroscience magazine Grey Matters Journal at the University of Washington. Featuring a panel of scientists and professors, the event supports the organization’s mission of scientific outreach by inviting UW students and community members to participate in Q&As and other activities.
For its second year, I had the opportunity as art director to create distinct branding for the event that could be applied across print and digital marketing materials, merchandise, and day-of event signage.
I developed a simplified neuron pattern that could be used behind, next to, and woven through the event name, which was set in bold display type against black boxes that could be stacked in various ways depending on the application.
