Event Design
The annual Washington’s Best Workplaces event (“WA Best”) is a celebration for companies in the Puget Sound region rated highest in employee satisfaction surveys. Held at Safeco Field, the 2018 event saw record attendance of nearly 1,500 people from 100 recognized companies.
This event has an established four-color palette of magenta, blue, green, and yellow-orange that had been muted in past years. Drawing inspiration from playful geometric patterns and the sensible structure of Swiss Style posters, I chose to combine two fully saturated colors at a time, each pair getting its own accompanying pattern. These combinations were alternated across assets, and the bright colors were able to stand out in a large ballpark.
Work completed at the Puget Sound Business Journal in 2018. Final deliverables included invitations, print and web advertisements, posters, directional signage, programs, and screen displays for concourse television monitors, the outfield board, and the Marinervision screen at the stadium.
