Event Design
The Puget Sound Business Journal’s Innovation Awards program spotlights companies and organizations that have demonstrated visionary thinking through their products or business practice. Honorees have developed creative solutions within their industries through cutting edge technology, resourceful engineering, and valuable community relationships.
When designing collateral for this event, I wanted it to feel futuristic, clean, and inclusive to the range of honorees and innovation types recognized. I created a subtle “building block” theme with a pattern of simple shapes. The geometric letterforms of the logo could also be stacked and layered creatively to reinforce this motif. These visuals also tied to the experience of the event — tables were equipped with building toys and brainteasers for guests to play with.
Work completed at the Puget Sound Business Journal in 2018. Deliverables included invitations, posters, programs, print and web ads, email marketing graphics, and slideshow presentation decks.
