The Bachelor of Fine Arts: Painting & Drawing program at the University of Washington School of Art + Art History + Design requested a print catalog of work from its 2016 senior show that could be distributed to graduating students. I volunteered to take on the project, collected high-res images and artist statements from classmates, and laid out a 32-page book.
For the cover design, I scanned an ink sketch by student Marijke Keyser and manipulated the color in photoshop. The cyan continues as an accent color throughout.
Each spread features one artist’s selected body of work. I collected input from each student about how they wanted their portfolio represented, and refined layouts based on their feedback.
